  • Drilling Recycled Glass Bottles is a Breeze with the Jeannie Jig

    For the nicest lamp, you will want to drill a nice clean hole near the bottom of your recycled bottle for the electric cord. That's not as easy as it sounds. How do you prevent the drill bit from wandering across the curved surface? Won't the glass get hot and break? There are lots of tips on keeping the glass cool by dunking your bit in water, splashing water on the bottle and the bit, having a friend run water over the bottle as you drill, or filling your bottle with water before you start to drill. Glass, water and electricity ... sounds a little scary. And it's not easy to find a glass shop willing to do the drilling for you. READ MORE
